Kudos to Joshua Clark, of the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival and French Quarter Fiction, for being nominated a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle award for his autobiography, Heart Like Water: Surviving Katrina and Life in Its Disaster Zone.

Next up: In Heaven There Are No Rules
In Heaven There Are No Rules is in draft stage. This work was originally conceived as a performance art monologue with props and an animated character. I'll read it in sections at open mics around NOLA in the coming weeks.
Update, June, 2007: The second part of In Heaven There Are No Rules is ready. I performed this at the Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans on June 24th.
I read the first section of In Heaven There Are No Rules on March 8, 2007, at the 17 Poets Reading Series. The feature artists were Brenda Marie Osbey and James Nolan.
